Get ready, fast-food enthusiasts! Chick-fil-A is about to make its presence felt yet again in central Pennsylvania. The much-anticipated launch is slated for the early morning of September 7th at a location in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County. This will be the 15th installment of the popular chain in the central region of the Keystone State.

Not Your Typical Chick-fil-A

This isn’t your run-of-the-mill Chick-fil-A. Taking over a former Arby’s location, the new outlet will sport a condensed layout. While it won’t offer indoor seating, it will boast three drive-thru lanes and an alfresco dining area, complete with a service window for walk-up orders.

A Commitment to Local Causes

To mark the occasion, Chick-fil-A is making a generous contribution of $25,000 to the Feeding America network. This donation will be channeled to local organizations working to alleviate hunger. In a unique gesture, the chain will also reward 100 individuals making a difference in the community with a year’s supply of Chick-fil-A meals.

The Woman Behind the Counter

The franchise is under the stewardship of Stephanie Kapetakanos, a seasoned restaurateur hailing from Wilmington, Delaware. With a rich background in the food industry, Kapetakanos plans to employ a workforce of 80 to 100 people, both full-time and part-time. She is keen on nurturing future leaders and having a positive influence on her staff.

Beyond the Menu: Social Responsibility

The new location will be part of Chick-fil-A’s Shared Table initiative, aimed at redistributing excess food to local charitable organizations. This aligns with the chain’s broader mission of community involvement and responsible stewardship.

What’s on the Horizon?

This Dauphin County location is just one of several Chick-fil-A projects in the pipeline. Another venue is in the works at Union Deposit Road in Susquehanna Township, featuring a 62-seat dining area and drive-thru. A mixed-use development in Cumberland County is also set to host a Chick-fil-A.

Hours and Culinary Delights

The doors will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Be sure to sample the latest additions to the menu, such as the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich and the Caramel Crumble milkshake.

Wrapping It Up

The upcoming Chick-fil-A in Lower Paxton Township is more than a place to grab a quick bite; it’s a community-centric venue with a heart. With its innovative features, philanthropic endeavors, and mouth-watering new menu items, it’s set to become a local favorite.
